King s National Breast Screening Training Centre & London South Bank University mammography Image Interpretation September/October 2019 TBC This is a five day module - plus one additional day to undertake a formative baseline test. The Course is designed for radiographers and breast clinicians who wish to develop the knowledge and skills required to practice image interpretation within the NHSBSP and also for those working in symptomatic practice. Learning objectives: At the end of this module the student will be able to: Develop a competency in NHSBSP image reading practice Recognise and interpret normal mammographic appearances including normal or iatrogenic variations Develop the ability to evaluate images and write a comprehen-sive report on symptomatic patient mammograms Engage in sound clinical reasoning and appropriate decisions for further action All enquiries to Marta: 020 3299 3870 or on Course information Entry requirements: -Registration with professional body (HCPC/NMC/GMC) -Employment within or access to a UK Breast Unit to enable sufficient access to practice -Support of employing department -If you ve not studied in the UK before and English is not your first language you will need to meet London South Bank University IELTS criteria (International English Language Testing System).
This 40 credit module provides the range of clinical skills and development required for practitioners who are already experienced in mammography
