It wasused by a variety of automobilemanufactures (including Mercedes,Volvo, Volkswagen and others). Our interest encompasses theVolkswagen- Porsche 914 (1970-1973) and the (1973-1976).This article does not cover the"L- jetronic " system used on 914s. I will discuss the theoryof operation, common problems, and then recommend a procedurefor renewing the system as a wholeand ensuring proper functioningand increased reliability.
