Designing ultrasonic meter stations is now an applied practice by some but is still a new endeavor to many. There are many common sense practices that should be adhered to on any meter station designed and the ultrasonic station is no exception. ultrasonic meters are very tolerant to some operatingconditions that are very interruptive or offsetting to many meters . The ultrasonic flow meter (USM) has some considerations that are key to achieving optimum longterm performance. This paper will highlight some of the considerations that differentiate USM stations from conventional meter station practices.
