dear sponsor , I am pleased to announce the 2017 Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS). Adopt-A-Family Program. For over 30 years DPSS has provided families with this unique program during the holiday season. The Adopt-A-Family Program assists low income families and individuals serviced by DPSS. It is our hope that each year, we bring joy to those in need. This longstanding tradition matches sponsors with those undergoing a hardship during the holiday season. The process is easy: DPSS identifies families/individuals who are in need during the holiday season. Services provided by DPSS include: CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWORKs (low-income families) and In- Home Supportive Services consumers (low-income elderly, blind or disabled individuals, including children).
