Defense Logistics Agency INSTRUCTION DLAI Effective September 8, 2014 J34(TQ) SUBJECT: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) packaging Program References: Refer to Enclosure 1. 1. PURPOSE. In accordance with the authority in DODM , Volume 9 (Reference (a)), this Issuance reissues DLAI 1506 (Reference (b)) to update policy, responsibility, and procedures necessary to the effective, efficient and economical conduct of packaging materiel for the Agency s business in accordance with AR 700-15/NAVSUPINST 24-206/MCO (Reference (c)). 2. APPLICABILITY. This INSTRUCTION applies to all DLA activities.
c. The DLA Packaging Board will serve as the forum for developing policy and guidance on DLA packaging. d. Local operating procedures may be developed by the Defense Supply Center (DSC),
