This Defense Security Service (DSS). assessment and Authorization Process manual (DAAPM) is intended for use by cleared contractors participating in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). It provides standardized Security policies and procedures for use in safeguarding classified information processed by cleared contractors' Information Systems (ISs) operating under the Security cognizance of the DSS.
