In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive (DoDD) (Reference (a)) and the guidance in DoDD (Reference (b)), this instruction reissues DoD. Instruction (DoDI) (Reference (c)) to: a. Implement the provisions of section 668 of Title 29, United States Code ( );. Executive Order 12196; part 1960 of Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR); and section 7902 of Title 5, (References (d), (e), (f), and (g)). b. Update established policy and assigned responsibilities for administering a comprehensive DoD SOH program in accordance with Reference (b).
