Some exceptions apply when exchanging a Licence from another jurisdiction. For more information, refer to the web page Driver s Licences for New Residents. Test results are valid for 6 months. Any Licence issuance or upgrade must be completed within six (6) months of starting the process. Test Type Minimum Age Requirements Written Test -Tractor Trailer ( class 1) 18 Valid NB Driver s Licence class 5 or higher Medical Fitness Report Completed within the past 6 months Written Test Bus ( class 2), with or without the School Bus (B) endorsement 18 Valid NB Driver s Licence class 5 or higher Medical Fitness Report Completed within the past 6 months Must be 21 yea
