Issues such as sound and vibration should be considered and factored into the building design and chill er location within a given structure. These issues are not unique to chillers but should be considered when any mechanical device is located in or on a structure. This bulletin is not intended to be a replacement for a sound consultant, but rather a tool for you to advise owners, engineers and contractors of useful tips when designing and installing chiller installa tions.
