EPHESIANS Our Blessings In Christ Importance This epistle was evidently addressed to the church in Ephesus (cf. Acts 19), but may have been intended as a “circular letter” to be read by neighboring churches. The phrase ‘in Ephesus’ (1:1) is absent in two of the oldest manuscripts. Paul had spent nearly three years in Ephesus (Acts 19:8-41).
