Transportation planning decisions often have significant Equity impacts. Transport Equity analysis can be difficult because there are several types of Equity , many potential impacts to consider, various ways to measure impacts, and may possible ways to categorize people.
resources, peoples quality of life and economic opportunities, and external costs that travellers impose on their communities. People care about these impacts – they want planning decisions to reflect equity goals. As a result, practitioners have a responsibility to evaluate equity impacts in transportation planning analysis.
