Introduction Advent is a busy time of year and some churches may not want to offer an Advent study for that reason. However, in the church Advent is a time of preparation for the coming of Christ as a baby and a time to think about the Second coming of Christ, so it's important to offer people some ways to join in this preparation. Many of us are frustrated by all the focus on materialism in the season and longing for a way to ponder the true meaning of Advent and Christmas. An Advent study is a perfect opportunity to join with others and explore the deeper aspects of this time of year.
