General Assembly Raised Bill No. 365. February Session, 2022 LCO No. 2774. Referred to Committee on JUDICIARY. Introduced by: (JUD). AN ACT CONCERNING JUVENILE AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE. REFORMS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: 1 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2022) (a) The Chief Court 2 Administrator shall develop, implement and update, as necessary, a 3 training program on a uniform process for applying for and the issuance 4 of a detention order pursuant to section 46b-133 of the general statutes, 5 as amended by this act. The Chief Court Administrator shall administer 6 such program and any updated program to those persons required to 7 complete such program pursuant to subsection (b) of this section in a 8 manner and frequency determined by said administrator. 9 (b) Each peace officer, as defined in section 53a-3 of the general 10 statutes, prosecutorial official and any judge who may preside over a 11 case from the docket for juvenile matters or the regular criminal docket 12 of the Superior Court shall complete the training program provided in 13 accordance with subsection (a) of this section.
