2014 OREGON fire CODE455 APPENDIX B FIRE-FLOW REQUIREMENTS FOR BUILDINGSThe provisions contained in this appendix are not mandatory unless specifically referenced in the adopting Scope. The procedure for determining fire -flowrequirements for BUILDINGS or portions of BUILDINGS hereafterconstructed shall be in accordance with this appendix and asrequired by the fire code official. This appendix does notapply to structures other than Definitions. For the purpose of this appendix, certainterms are defined as follows: FIRE-FLOW . The flow rate of a water supply, measured at20 pounds per square inch (psi) (138 kPa) residual pressure,that is available for fire CALCULATION AREA. The floor area, insquare feet (m2), used to determine the required fire HAZARD. A classification system based onthe classification of occupancies and commodities systemspecified in NFPA AREAS. Geographic areas where a serviceor an agency has been established for the purpose of provid-ing fire suppression services for BUILDINGS and other struc-tures.
