SHELL ECO-MARATHON. 2022 OFFICIAL RULES. CHAPTER I. FOREWORD . Dear Shell Eco-marathon Participants, 2021 was another challenging year for everyone on a global scale, and at Shell Eco-marathon, this was no exception. With the cancellation of live events in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we faced one of the biggest challenges in our 35-year history. And yet together we drew on our collective spirit of collaboration, innovation, and empathy to face this challenge together and successfully transitioned to a virtual programme resulting in some inspirational stories and great achievements over several odds. We were proud to provide a platform for everyone to stay connected to Shell Eco-marathon, with the chance to grow and learn despite not being able to get on-track.
