IiFOREWORDBY DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HEALTH MALAYSIAC linical practice guidelines (CPG) development has always been a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health and the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, and it is my sincere hope that this endeavour will be brought to greater heights in the improve the quality of clinical practice we must provide medical professionals with tools that they need to do their job and make the best decisions in each case. Hence, CPG is one of the means that helps to minimise inappropriate variation in clinical practice and to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of clinical previous manual launched in 2003, introduced and briefly captured the necessary steps to develop an evidence - based CPG.
