1 Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)[ GPC Capabilities ]2In 1964 John C. Moore, of the Dow Chemical Company, published his work on the preparation of Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) and c hanged how scientists studied synthetic polymers and macromolecules. Shortly thereafter Waters Corporation licensed the tec hnology from Dow to produce the first commercially-available gel Permeation c hromatograph, the GPC-100. With dedicated, purpose-built instrumentation combined with the innovations from the Dow Chemical Company it was possible for GPC to provide critical information to scientists that was difficult to obtain by other methods.
