An EMT is authorized to perform patient care procedures and administer medications as follows: 1. Patient assessment including taking and recording vital signs and appropriate history. 2. Administration of supplemental oxygen via cannula or mask. 3. Administration of aspirin for suspected cardiac chest pain.
