ACADEMIC REGULATIONS. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS . To be considered a candidate for graduation a student must fulfill the specific REQUIREMENTS for a particular degree as set forth in the following pages: 1. Complete 120-132 semester hours, determined by your program of study, with a minimum C average GPA. Earn a minimum of fifty percent of those semester hours from a four-year college or university, and at least twenty- five percent of semester hours required for degree must be resident work at JSU. Thirty-six (36) semester hours of credits presented for a degree must be in courses numbered 300 or above. No more than 12 semester hours in correspondence work may be counted toward a degree. 2. Earn a minimum C or better in each of his/her major and minor courses. Students assessed into upper division business courses must maintain a GPA in the business core (courses are identified in the Business and Industry section) overall and the business core courses in residence.
