GENERAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF DETROIT (GRS) EDUCATION POLICY Adopted: March 31, 2010 I. PURPOSE. The Board of Trustees of the GENERAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM of the City of Detroit (the Board) recognizes and affirms the importance of education to the success of fulfilling its constitutional and statutory fiduciary duty to prudently administer the RETIREMENT SYSTEM for the exclusive benefit of the members and their beneficiaries as set forth below.
