Generational Curses Evans nicholson , Choosing Truth Ministries What is a Generational curse and how can it affect our lives? God, Yahweh, says in His Word, Thou shalt not bow down to them nor serve them; for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons unto the third and fourth generation of those that hate Exodus 20:5; Deut. 5:9. This is often a difficult subject, sometimes causing various forms of trepidation for those coming out of bondage into freedom in Jesus, Yeshua. Satan will of course attempt to cause fear through lies and deception to hinder the process. My own journey has been filled with various deceptions and distractions used to hinder God s work in my life. There were times when I didn t know that I would be able to endure or even survive the process. Through Jesus my freedom continues to be ongoing with new levels of freedom.
