Revised 1-28-2016 GLAXOSMITHKLINE MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY PROGRAM drug AND ALCOHOL POLICY I. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND OVERVIEW A. The Department of Transportation (DOT) has issued regulations that govern the use of drugs and alcohol by commercial motor vehicle drivers. Pursuant to the DOT regulations, 49 CFR Part 382, GLAXOSMITHKLINE must conduct drug and alcohol testing of such drivers at the times and under the conditions described in this DOT POLICY . The DOT regulations also require certain minimum employer disciplinary actions when a driver engages in the conduct prohibited by this POLICY .
