Assessment is the process of evaluating an individual’s attainment of knowledge, understanding and skills. It has many uses but these can be divided into two major categories: uses for individual candidates, and uses for external organisations. 2.1 Uses for candidates Different forms of assessment take place throughout a candidate’s career.
