Heavy vehicles chartIn NSW Heavy vehicles are categorised as general access or restricted access vehicles , dependent on the vehicle mass, dimension and configuration or a combination of all three. General access vehicles have unrestricted access to the NSW road system. General access vehicles are those that do not exceed metres in width, metres in length (rigid truck) or 19 metres (articulated combination), metres in height and the General Mass Limit (GML) value shown in the document provides information about the common types of General Access, Restricted Access and Performance Based Standards (PBS) vehicle combinations that can operate on NSW levels of access apply to all vehicle combinations depending on their mass, dimension or performance.
