Hospital Results Table Notes Total Number of Cases includes all cases after exclusions (patients less than 30 years of age, patients who left against medical advice and clinically complex cases were excluded). The total number of cases includes inpatient Hospital discharges from January 1, 2014 through March 31, 2016. In- Hospital Mortality represents the number of patients who died during the hospitalization in which the procedure was performed. This analysis includes inpatient Hospital discharges from January 1, 2014 through March 31, 2016. 30-Day Readmission represents the number of patients who were readmitted to any general acute care Hospital in Pennsylvania for a heart- related condition, an infection or a complication. This analysis is based on inpatient Hospital discharges from January 1, 2014 through August 31, 2015.
