Abstract The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship of decision making with accountability. This study was conducted in private school in the area Catholic Education Council of the Archdiocese of Jakarta (Majelis Keuskupan Agung Jakarta). The research method used was survey by correlation approach. Sample size 67 school principals. The finding of the research: there is a positive relation of rational decision making with accountability. Recommendation for increasing the accountability of school principals is the development of rational decision making abilities through the authority's mandate and the principles of autonomy, and the application of the principle of accountability of school principals as educational management.
