M o b i l e - 0 0 6 4 2 2 1 0 1 3 4 2 6 Hypertension , or high blood pressure, is a very common and serious condition that can lead to or complicate many health problems. The risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality is directly correlated with blood pressure. Risks of stroke, MI, angina, heart failure, kidney failure or early death from a cardiovascular cause are directly correlated with BP.
Hypertension is defined as abnormally high blood pressure (more than 120/80 mm Hg) in the arteries. Persistent increase in systemic arterial blood pressure is known as hypertension.
