NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI COLLEGE JOB DESCRIPTION I. job title : Family Engagement Specialist II. JOB DESCRIPTION This is a professional position responsible for the coordination of the Family Engagement and Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) component systems of the Head Start Program. The Family Engagement Specialist is primarily based in Central Office, but is required to travel within the service area on a regular basis. This position is responsible to the Head Start Director. III. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED AND CONDITIONS a. Develops and maintains a system whereby children and families enrolled in the program are provided with comprehensive child and family development services either by the Program or through referral to other agencies. b. Assists in applying established criteria in the selection of program participants and coordinates enrollment procedures. c. Develops and maintains a system whereby necessary records pertaining to services and to children and families served are made and preserved.
