Idube Forestry New challenges in Forestry contracting A Forestry contractor, with support from Mondi Zimele , is turning challenges into opportunities to create sustainable jobs. Idube Forestry provides a full range of silviculture services to Mondi in the midlands and employs 347 people. It was established in 2004 when Dwayne Marx, an experienced forester and contractor, teamed up with Gloria Mthombeni and Jennifer Govender, both of whom brought crucial skills to the business. In 2012 Idube secured a low interest loan from the Mondi Zimele Jobs Fund to finance the expansion of the business. The loan came with a package of support services which helped Idube Forestry 's management to consolidate and take advantage of business opportunities.
