According to Cisco,1 from 2012 to 2017, Internet traffic in the Middle East and Africa (excluding South Africa) is expected to grow at the highest rate when compared with other regions, a compound annual growth rate of 39 percent. Moreover, peak Internet traffic will grow from 2012 to 2017, a compound annual growth rate of 41 percent. In 2017, Internet traffic will be equivalent to 204 times the volume of the entire Middle East and Africa (excluding South Africa) Internet in growing traffic has direct implications in terms of the capacity require-ments for the underlying broadband Infrastructure .
