A critical risk and two medium risk Security vulnerabilities have been discovered in the Log4j library. The first vulnerability, CVE-2021-44228 and nicknamed Log4 Shell, is a critical risk vulnerability that allows an attack to potentially perform remote code execution on the application server. Log4j introduced a feature in version of the library that allows for log entries to lookup information through the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI).
