programmes (e.g. AMOS) require larger sample sizes than partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) programmes (e.g. SmartPLS) due to the latter’s estimation techniques (Hair et al., 2017; Ringle et al., 2018; Ryan, 2020). Many believe that PLS-SEM is a simplified tool to run models with small sample sizes.
