Two of the programs help low-income families afford a home the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) rental assistance program and publicly owned housing.
Deferred Payment Loan Program This program is available to qualified first-time homebuyers earning 100 percent or less of the AMI, as adjusted for family size. This program can help a buyer purchase a home in the City of San Diego by providing a second trust deed loan. The loans carry an interest rate of three percent
