Specialist details Patient identifier Name: Location: Tel: Date: Introduction Licensed indications: active rheumatoid arthritis and active psoriatic arthritis in adults. Unlicensed indications: seronegative polyarthritis and vasculitis. Adult dosage and administration Dose: 10 - 20mg once daily. Leflunomide is available as: 10mg, 15mg and 20mg tablets. A 100mg tablet is also available for a three day loading dose referred to in product literature.
Leflunomide June 2017 Page 3 of 3 Adverse effects, precautions and contraindications Please note that leflunomide has a very long half life. Washout procedure with colestyramine is recommended in cases of significant drug toxicity (check SPC or BNF for further information).
