The Panel of Environmental Experts (PoE) for the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) undertook a mission from 6-17 March 2011. 2. The purpose of the mission was to help develop and implement critical projects being undertaken by the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA). 3. The critical projects addressed during the mission, and the way forward on each, were briefly as follows. LHDA Compensation PoE was asked to review and comment on the Katse and Lejone audit action plan and advise on its adequacy to fast track payment of communal compensation for LLEs upstream of Katse Dam.
