LIBRARY PLANNING PLANNING is the deliberate, preferred manner of preparing for LIBRARY service in the future. It is the responsible means of fulfilling future community LIBRARY needs. A long-range plan, based on knowledge of the community, community expectations, resources of the community, and realistic projections of the future needs of the community will enable the LIBRARY trustees and administration to perform their responsibilities better by providing efficient and progressive LIBRARY service.
