One of these is local on cardregulation, eliminating the distribution problems associatedwith single point regulation. The voltages available allowthese Regulators to be used in logic systems, instrumenta-tion, HiFi, and other solid state electronic equipment. Al-though designed primarily as fixed Voltage Regulators thesedevices can be used with external components to obtainadjustable voltages and LM78XX Series is available in an aluminum TO-3 pack-age which will allow over load current if adequate heatsinking is provided.
