Loudspeaker Cabinet Diffraction rsted DTU Acoustical Technology 1 Loudspeaker Cabinet Diffraction Tore Skogberg Acoustical Technology rsted DTU 2006 Abstract sound output from a Loudspeaker system is seriously affected by the presence of the Cabinet due to Diffraction of the propagating waves at the edge of the Cabinet . The study introduces a model for Diffraction and compares the results to measurements. The model is refined to include high-order Diffraction components and is compared to an existing Diffraction model. Diffraction theory from the optical field is reviewed and used to determine the diffracted signal.
