Prepared and Furnished by the Secretary of State WHAT ARE WE VOTING FOR? ELECT TO PLAN The December 11th Election is a general Election , consisting of runoffs from the primary elections held on November 13th. A runoff occurs for any Election in which no candidate received a majority of the vote in the primary Election . This is the rescheduled general Election for all offices of the city of New Orleans and Orleans parish . It will also include runoffs for special elections held to fill vacancies in other parishes, municipalities, and districts. Some parishes, municipalities, and districts will have propositions on the ballot as well.
