The Model 418, in common with most current amplifiers at any power level, is a marvel of modern microprocessor based control and indicator functionality. DisplayThe display includes bar graphs for forward power output to 100+ W and SWR up to 3:1. In addition to rapidly following the output power on a voice syllable or CW element basis, the forward power bar graph includes a hanging dot that indicates peak power very handy. There are also OVERDRIVE and FAU LT indica-tors that show up only when appropriate, with the nature of the fault indicated.
