• For MRSA-BSI, the case classification for the BSI and for the MRSA are determined independently. • Classify the MRSA based on the MRSA protocol and the BSI based on the BSI protocol. • Note: Each new MRSA BSI episode must be entered in ProvSurv but not every positive blood culture result from the same BSI episode.
