Databricks is a cloud- and Apache Spark based big data analytics service generally available in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. Databricks is the creator of Apache Spark, and Databricks is a managed cloud platform built atop an optimized version of Spark. The Databricks Platform offers a development environment focused on collaboration, streaming and batch data processing for data engineering, data science and BI workloads, and offers a notebook experience as well as integration with several popular IDEs for code development, testing and deployment.
