As regards the Mauritian economy, the measures taken by government , including those in the last two budgets, were meant to set the economy on a strong recovery path. However, the resurgence of the Omicron variant has slowed down the pace of the recovery. 4. The 2022-2023 Budget will, therefore, aim at building more resilience into our economy in order to face the new challenges being thrust upon our economy and country.
