NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACTas amended142 4321 et USC 4321 Sec 2. The purposes of this Act are: To declare a NATIONAL POLICY which willencourage productive and enjoyable harmony between man and his environment topromote efforts 'which will prevent or eliminate damage to the environment andbiosphere and stimulate the health and welfare of man; to enrich the understanding ofthe ecological systems and natural resources important to the Nation; and to establisha Council on ENVIRONMENTAL I - POLICIES AND GOALSCONGRESSIONAL DECLARATION OF NATIONALENVIRONMENTAL POLICY42 USC 4331 Sec 101.
