NATIONAL STANDARD
KEMENTERIAN KESIHATAN MALAYSIA NATIONAL STANDARD FOR Dokumen D1 DRINKING water quality -prepared by -Engineering Services Division Ministry of Health Malaysia Revised December 2000 Second Version/ January 2004 Seventeen years ago, in response to the need for a realistic and appropriate set of guidelines regarding safe and potable water supply throughout Malaysia, the Drinking water quality Surveillance Unit, Engineering Services Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia prepared a set of guidelines. This was done under the guidance of experts from the World Health Organization, Western Pacific Regional Centre for the Promotion of Environmental Planning and Applied Studies (WHO)/PEPAS.
1.3 The raw water quality criteria included in this document is intended to assist users in determining the appropriate treatment needed for raw water in order to produce water that will conform with the drinking water quality standards.
