Early intervention is a system of coordinated services and supports for eligible children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. Early intervention promotes the child s growth and development and supports families in meeting the developmental needs of their child. Early Intervention Services are mandated through Public Law 108-446, Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA). Nevada s Early Intervention system encourages family participation, ensures parents are fully informed and provide consent for all evaluations and services.
