The Irrigation Association, Winrock International, InternationalDevelopment Enterprises, and the World Bank initiated the contest with support from theInternational Program for Technology and Research in Irrigation and Drainage (IPTRID) of theFood and Agricultural Organization of the United Nation (FAO), and now the Third WorldWater Forum also cosponsors this pilot event.
