Gov. Edmund G. Brown Jr. has signed a variety of Assembly and Senate bills that change laws governing the practice of Pharmacy in California. To read a compilation of specific new statutes authorized by the bills in the Business and Professions Code and the Health and Safety Code, visit the Board of Pharmacy website 40 (Santiago) CURES Database: Health Information Technology System (Chapter 607, Statutes of 2017)This law requires the California Department of Justice to make CURES available to pharmacists and health care practitioners by Oct. 1, 2018, through either the CURES online portal or an authorized health information technology system, as specified. The measure includes an urgency provision and took effect immediately upon the governor s 208 (Eggman) Deferred Entry of Judgment: Pretrial Diversion (Chapter 208, Statutes of 2017)This law changes the deferred entry of judgment program to a pretrial program.
