5 New Jersey Register, Vol. 49 No. XX, September 5, 2017 5 Scope The provisions of this subchapter shall constitute the standards to guide the Public Officer or his agents in determining the fitness of a building for human habitation, use, or occupancy. Page 2 of 5:28 5 New Jersey Register, Vol. 49 No. 12, June 19, 2017 5 Definitions The words, terms or phrases listed below for the purpose of this chapter shall be defined and interpreted as follows. "Administrative Authority" shall mean the department, branch or agency of this municipality which is authorized by the adopting ordinance to administer the provisions of this chapter. "Building" shall mean any building or structure, or part thereof, used for human habitation, use, or occupancy and includes any accessory buildings and appurtenance belonging thereto or usually enjoyed therewith.
