OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES FIRE/RESCUE MANUAL The OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES have been developed to provide guidance, create clarity, standardize operations, and ensure the safest work environment possible for all FIRE/RESCUE departments. The purpose of the OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES is to ensure that the FIRE/RESCUE departments are aware of, and adhere to, the legislative and regulatory requirements of the British Columbia fire Service. Each FIRE/RESCUE department member is required to be educated in the understanding and implication of the OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES . This document will continue to evolve to reflect the changes of the fire service. The OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES will be an integral part of each fire department s training program. It is the responsibility of the fire Chief to ensure that the Operating GUIDELINES are adhered to by every FIRE/RESCUE department member.
